I FINALLY got to photograph my business bestie and her sweet boyfriend. Abby and I became fast friends after shooting a wedding together, and we’ve loved working together ever since! It makes such a difference on the wedding day when your photographer and videographer know how the other works. We’ve named ourselves the dream team and try to work together as much as possible. I’m so grateful for a bestie in this industry. God is so good!
On the way to Charlottesville for their session, Cameron looked over at me and said “Hey – is it supposed to rain?” Not paying attention, I quickly responded “Nope! The forecast said sunshine when I checked this morning.” I looked up and saw the dark clouds ahead and immediately checked the forecast. Now it said there was a 70% chance of rain. I started panicking internally, but quickly shifted to thinking about a plan b. We had exactly one umbrella in the car and no raincoats. Typically I bring 15 clear umbrellas with me everywhere, but since there was no rain in the forecast, I left them at home. Ryan and Abby were champs through it all. It rained during their whole session, but because they trusted me we were able to take beautiful photos. We started out using the umbrella, but eventually ditched it and got even more stunning photos because of it.
Thank you, Ryan and Abby, for trusting me! I can’t stop staring at these photos – they’re some of my favorites EVER!!
