A Rainy and Romantic Private Estate Wedding | Pryce and Megan | Virginia Wedding Photographer

Pryce and Megan’s wedding day was an absolute DREAM! Sure, it was rainy. Yeah, it was cloudy. BUT there was so much love and joy surrounding this day and the marriage of Megan and Pryce. I’ve known Megan for several years and was overjoyed when she messaged me about wedding photography! Megan is one of the most genuine, kind, and compassionate people you’ll ever meet. She will be the most incredible wife to Pryce.

We started off the day in the getting ready suite with the girls, and there was so much joyful anticipation! Spotify playlists were blasting through the speaker and the girls were doing their har and makeup. It was the perfect morning! It finally came time for Megan to put on her dress, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. For brides, putting on your dress is when everything begins to feel real. This moment always makes me emotional, and it’s easily one of my favorite parts of each wedding day.

As we neared closer and closer to the first looks, the start time for the rain crept closer too. Megan didn’t let anything, even a little rain, get in the way of her taking in every moment of the day. She was incredible! During portraits, Pryce and Megan ditched the umbrellas and didn’t complain once! The joy that was in their hearts was in their smiles too, and I just feel so grateful to have witnessed their day.

One of my favorite parts of their day was their reception! It started with the special dances, and lots of mingling. Pryce and Megan made getting photos with their guests a priority, and I love that! There were so many tears of joy, giggles, and fun photo recreations. Not to mention, they had the most DELICIOUS personal pies for guests to enjoy! Pryce and Megan’s day was so perfect, and I’d do it all over again in a heartbeat!! After going more than one year without a traditional 8 hour wedding day, it was so nice to be back in the wedding day groove!

Pryce and Megan, congratulations on your marriage! I’m so excited for you both and can’t wait to see what God has in store for you! The best is yet to come!
