As life goes on and gets busy, one big thing that really slipped away from my family’s mind was family photos. I know-surprising! When I was home for Thanksgiving Break, my mom’s biggest request was that we take a few pictures together. So we went to the tree farm across the street and snapped a few family photos for our Christmas card! I programmed the correct settings into my camera and set it up on a tripod. We had so much fun, and now we have these memories captured forever.

As a photographer, I’ve seen the value of photos. I’ve seen the joy it brings to people, both in the picture and not in the picture. I’ve seen how a picture can bring back a million memories of someone who is no longer here on earth. I’ve seen the power of a moment through a photo. However, while I’ve seen all of these things, there are still so many people who don’t take the time to capture the memories of today. It saddens me because you live this life once, you look like this once, and you have these moments once. I encourage you to schedule a session. Don’t think about your insecurities or other things holding you back because one day will be two days and two days will be two years or ten years and the moments will be gone. Capture the memories while you still have them.
