A Fall Fairview Farm Wedding | Chris and Casey | Virginia Wedding Photographer

After a week of 100 degree temperatures in Richmond, we were gifted the perfect fall weather for Chris and Casey’s big day. I arrived around lunch time to photograph the girls and everyone was so relaxed and filled with joy. Casey was in the makeup chair and looked like a real life princess. After saying hello, I walked to the back bedroom to find the most perfect dress with gorgeous floral details. Casey is very detail oriented, so I knew that everything would be organized and put together in the most beautiful way. As the day went on, I was more and more amazed by what I saw. She exceeded my expectations. From gorgeous signs, to blankets for guests, all the way down to the place settings — everything was perfect.

After finishing with the girls, I drove over the the ceremony location. Chris greeted me with a hug and said, “I’m so glad you’re here!” I remember meeting with Chris to talk about how he was going to propose to Casey. There’s no doubt that he’s head over heels in love with her, and I love that!

I continued to walk around the ceremony and reception areas to photograph all of the details. I began to notice photos from their engagement session, senior session, and proposal displayed everywhere. I love that they included photos from each season of life together.

Every detail was so perfectly knitted together, but Chris and Casey stood out above it all. Their love for one another and the life they’ve built was the best part of their wedding day. They invited their closest friends and family to celebrate with them. Casey’s beloved dad passed away in 2018, and, throughout each part of the day, he was remembered and celebrated. During toasts, Casey’s mom got to share the story that her dad always wanted to share at her wedding. He had written in down in a journal, and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room after it was read.

Chris and Casey’s wedding day was one for the books. I’m so excited to see what married life has in store for them. Thank you, Chris and Casey, for letting me be a part of your day. I’m so honored to have celebrated with you!
