If there’s a wedding day I wish I could re-live over and over, it would be this one. Caleb and Madelyn planned the most beautiful, detail-oriented, and heartfelt day. The detailed pieces they chose for their day weren’t without purpose or meaning. Everything was for a reason, even down to the top button of Madelyn’s dress being from her mom’s wedding dress — small but meaningful.

When I saw Madelyn’s name pop up in my inbox in January 2022, I did a little happy dance in my office. It’s always an honor when a bride chooses me as their wedding photographer, but it’s on another level of compliment when another photographer chooses me. Madelyn’s excitement for this season of engagement and her wedding day brought me so much joy. Working with her has re-ignited my creativity and passion for this business.

Caleb and Madelyn got married at Berry Hill Resort in South Boston, VA. It was the rainiest wedding day that I’ve ever photographed, but not once did Caleb and Madelyn let that affect their day or their joy for it. We pivoted and made strategic timeline decisions to ensure they still got the photos of their dreams. When it came down to ceremony time, they had the choice of moving it to the tent out back or keeping their original plan. Right as we were making final decisions, the rain slowed down just enough for Caleb and Madelyn to move forward with their original plan. Caleb and Madelyn are two of the most easy-going and kind people I’ve ever met. They love each other so well, and they have the best people surrounding them. I’m so honored and grateful to have celebrated this day with them!
